What’s Wrong with My Water Chemistry?

Welcome to the introductory version of our blog. The most common questions for existing spa owners is: “What’s wrong with my water chemistry?” If you get a test strip in that water once a week (more often if you are just starting) then you will be ahead of the game. Diligence with the test strip (or other systems) is the key.

  1. Chlorine and bromine are the first pad on the test strip.
  2. Alkalinity is the second pad.
  3. pH is the third pad.
  4. Calcium hardness is the fourth pad.

Make sure your readings are close to the ideal (bracketed) range as possible.

We have the chemicals to adjust these in the showroom. And if you don’t know where that is, we are next to the Safeway store in the Conifer Town Center. Every attempt is made to keep the best chemicals available in stock with the fewest amount of inert ingredients (the least amount of inert ingredients is the key).

Make the adjustments right after water changes so you don’t lose control and wind up in “chemical warfare”!
